On May 13, 2025, a delegation from the VNU Center for Education Accreditation - led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Toan, Deputy Director of VNU-CEA, attended the 18th Conference of the INQAAHE at the Akasaka Intercity Conference Center, Tokyo, Japan. The event was hosted by the Japan University Accreditation Association (JUAA) and attracted nearly 500 delegates from 62 countries across the continents. 

Overview of the Conference

Under the theme "The Big Bang Theory: The Quality Assurance Paradigm Shift," the conference focused on discussing transformative changes in the global and regional higher education quality assurance model amidst digital transformation, lifelong learning, and increasing international integration.

VNU Center for Education Accreditation, a full member of INQAAHE, was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Toan, Vice Director, and Dr. Tran Huu Luong, Head of the Division of Education Quality Assessment and Recognization.

In addition to the plenary session and general discussions, the delegation participated in thematic discussion sessions on:

- Quality assurance and sustainable development,

- Recognition of qualifications and open learning pathways,

- The role of artificial intelligence in quality assessment,

- Microcredentials and flexible learning models,

- Joint quality assurance: experiences from various countries.

VNU Center for Education Accreditation has been a full member of INQAAHE since March 2019. VNU-CEA’s participation in the conference demonstrates its commitment to integration and enhancing the quality assurance capacity of Vietnamese higher education, contributing to broad connections with the international quality assurance network.

The conference commences on May 13th and will continue until May 17th, 2025, featuring numerous in-depth working sessions and opportunities for collaboration among quality assurance organizations worldwide.
